Before buying your insurance from Get Going Travel Insurance, we would encourage you to read the following important information.
Travel Insurance Facilities Plc (tifgroup) specialises in administering and providing travel insurance policies. Our travel insurance cover is underwritten and provided by Collinson, operating on behalf of the insurer: https://www.getgoinginsurance.co.uk/our-insurers. Please see below for our services.
Who can purchase a policy via Get Going Travel Insurance?
This insurance meets the demands and needs of those who wish to be financially protected from unexpected and unforeseen losses relating to their pre-booked holiday or trip arrangements in advance of travelling. The products are suitable for people wishing to cover themselves and their possessions whilst away from their home on a holiday or a trip of more than three days, during the period of insurance, for scenarios like trip curtailment, the cost of foreign medical treatment or the loss of your possessions.
Travel insurance purchased via Get Going Travel Insurance will only be valid if, at the time of purchase, everyone named on the policy:
• Is a permanent UK resident and registered with a GP in the UK;
• Is purchasing the insurance while in the UK;
• Is travelling from and returning to the UK;
• Is not buying this policy with the reasonable knowledge or intention of claiming.
• Understands the specific exclusions relating to changes in FCDO travel advice and cover for claims relating to COVID-19 Click here for more information.;
• Is fit to travel and not travelling against the advice of any medical professional;
• Has provided full details of any current or past medical conditions;
• Is not awaiting any tests, investigation or surgery for any undiagnosed medical condition;
• Will tell us of any change in health after you have purchased this policy.
Customers who do not meet this description and are attempting to use this cover for anything other than what has been laid out above may result in claims being denied or your cover being withdrawn.

We only offer insurance from a single insurer Collinson insurance, which is a trading name of Astrenska Insurance Limited who is authorised and regulated by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). their financial services register number is 202846. these details can be checked on the financial services register at: https://register.fca.org.uk/s/
What services will we provide you with?
You will not receive advice or a recommendation from us. We may ask some questions to narrow down the selection of products that we will provide details on. You will then need to make your own choice about how to proceed.
How do we collect and hold your payment?
We collect and hold money as an agent of the insurer, who are Collinson Insurance which is a trading name of Astrenska Insurance Limited.
How are we remunerated?
Our remuneration is a percentage of the insurance premium paid by you and allowed to us by the insurer with whom the insurance policy is placed. We do not normally charge a fee for our services to you; however, we reserve the right to do so, and if we do choose to do this, we will clearly show these within our communications and quotation to you.
Will you have to pay a fee for our services?
You will not have to pay a fee for our services, you will receive a quotation which will tell you about any fees charged by other parties (if applied) relating to any particular insurance policy.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?
We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.
Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 90% of the claim, with no upper limit. For compulsory classes of insurance, insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the claim, without any upper limit.

How to make a claim?
Within your policy wording there is a section on how to make a claim. Please click here to find out more about the process and what information is required to support your claim. You must report all incidents that could give rise to a claim as soon as you are aware of the incident, most importantly in the event you need emergency medical attention abroad, you must contact our appointed Emergency Assistance team.
The policy wording will provide you with information on what we will pay for in the event of a claim and/or situations which are excluded from cover. Therefore, please ensure you have read your policy wording within the 14-day cooling off period or contact us to clarify what you’re covered for. We will help you with all your questions.
Cooling off period
If you feel that the policy you purchased is not to your satisfaction and provided you have not travelled and/or made a claim and you are within the 14-day cooling off period, we are happy to provide a full refund of the premium you have paid.
Cancellation of Policies
If you are wanting to cancel your policy outside of the 14-day cooling off period, as per your policy wording, there is no refund given unless agreed by us in exceptional circumstances. (Please refer to the details under ‘If I need to cancel my policy’ within your policy wording).
For single trip policies – If we agree to refund, then we will refund 75% of the total premium you have paid (including any additional premium charged for an existing medical condition), but no refund will be provided if a trip has already started.
For multi-trip policies – If we agree to refund, then we will refund a percentage of the total premium you have paid, based on the number of months the policy was live before cancellation (please see below table)
We reserve the right to give 7 days’ notice of cancellation of this policy, without refund, by recorded delivery to you at your last known address in the event of the following circumstances; fraud, suspected fraud, misleading information or deliberate misrepresentation, abusive behaviour to any of our staff or agents.

Quotations
Unless stated otherwise in the documentation we have provided to you, all quotations for new insurances are valid only for a period of 30 days from the date of issue.
You should be aware that quotations may change or be withdrawn if the information given to us or your insurers in proposal forms or declarations differs from that provided at the time the quotation was issued.
